Need to Forgive

"...forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us." Matthew 6:12 TLB

We are to ask God to forgive us as we forgive others.  We forgive not because we feel like it but because Jesus says we must. 

Forgiveness does not require us to accept or excuse an offense or to remain in a hurtful relationship.  It means we cancel their debt.  It is a matter of will and obedience, not emotion (Ephesians 4:32).

Unforgiveness is an acid that destroys its own container...We forgive [them] not for their sake, but for ours.

Someone needs to know this. Is it you?  Or is it just me?
